Return by Death activated while Subaru was sleeping. Subaru tries to make this loop the exact same as the previous one, though, he fails, and wonders what he did different, this time.

Emilia invited Subaru and Justice to her place of residence—which is a Mansion, housing a very… ‘colorful’ cast of people. Subaru asks the head of the Manor if he could start working at the Mansion, as his reward.
Chapter 6 — “Despair and Treachery”
After Elsa Granhiert and the others leave, the Half-Elf, Emilia, decides to thank everyone that helped beat the Bowel Hunter. She then decides take Justice and Subaru to where she resides in, as sort of a reward for saving her.
Chapter 5 — “Hatred”
As the battle in the Loot House came to an end—Thanks to Reinhard van Astrea—another foe appears, and plans to help Elsa Granhiert, the Bowel Hunter, take everyone’s lives.
