Chapter 7 — “Re:start”

Re; A Hero’s New Life in a New World!

Chapter 7 — “Re:start”

Arc 2 Beginning

Subaru finally woke up from his ‘deep’ sleep. The first thing he saw was a ceiling, though, it didn’t look like the one from his own home. In fact, the ceiling appeared to be an ornate one, which only the richest people had.

“I don’t know this ceiling,” he said, as he got up. He looked around the room for the Half-elf girl—Emilia. He opened the central part of his robe, revealing his abdomen. He gingerly touched it.

“The wound on there is gone… Everything considered, it must’ve been her. Emilia’s healing power, huh?”

He got out of the bed and left the room. He looked around the hallway and saw a painting that took place in a forest. He began to walk, and simultaneously talk to himself at the same time.

“Well, at any rate, I got out of using Return by Death this time… But, normally, wouldn’t you wake up to a girl by your bed asking ‘Are you awake,’ after she’d cared for all this time? For a story about being summoned to another world, it’s kinda flawed.”

He continued to wander the hall until he saw that same painting from earlier many times. That’s when he deciphered that the hallway was…

“—A looping hallway… One of those things where I can’t leave until I find the right room? The typical pattern says that the first door is likely to be it!” he said, opening the door next to him.

The room was small, but not tiny. There were many books in the room, which were stacked on top of other books. There were bookshelves that were full of books. In the center of the room was a desk—that had many books on it. The room was very dark, but there was a candle with purple fire on the desk.

Behind the desk was a closed window. Sitting at the desk was a man. He was a slender, young man with pale skin and short black hair that is slicked back. He wears black eyeshadow in large circles around his red eyes. He also wears black lipstick and nail polish.

His attire consisted of a dark grey jacket red trimming and red cuffs. His pants were a matching grey and are tucked into knee-high black boots. He wore a black belt over his jacket and a black pouch which was empty.

“…Ah… hello… you must be Subaru Natsuki… I am Gordon Agrippa… I would like for you and me to end up being great friends…

   “Aah!”

Subaru screamed and shut the door as fast as he could. “Oh god,” he said. “That was really scary. Let me open another door… I just hope that there isn’t anything scary behind this one.”

Opening the next door, he found a library. In the absolute center of the room, was a girl sitting on a stool, with an opened book resting on her lap. There was a small table next to her, which had a cup of tea on it.

She was a petite girl with long cream colored hair that she had tied in two twin drills along with blue eyes that have a butterfly pattern at the center. She wore a frilled dress with pink ribbons, tights, and shoes. A tiny crown laid latched upon the rear right side of her hair, with a butterfly-shaped ribbon joining her cape at her sternum.

“My, what an insolent man you are, I suppose.”

“First— er, second NPC found!” he exclaimed while pointing at her. “With that cold attitude, you’re going to ruin your cute face. Come on, smile… smile!”

“A derisive sneer is the only smile worth giving you.”

“Are you mad that a guessed correctly on the first try?” He asked her, closing his eyes and shrugging.

“This wasn’t your first guess, I suppose.”

“Eh— I’ve always been a great guesser,” he stated, scratching his head, ignoring what the girl said, further irritating her. “I can understand why game masters would want me in all the events, but sorry! So, what is this place anyway?”

“Hmph, it’s Betty’s multipurpose room, both library, and bedroom, I suppose.”

“Talk about your token response. Are you one of those manual girls everyone’s into now?”

The girl abruptly closes her book, and gets up from the stool she was sitting on. “Betty’s had just about enough,” she said, while walking up to Subaru. “Time to teach you a lesson, I suppose.” Walking closer to Subaru intimidated him. He began to back up until his butt hit the door.

“Hey, what are you going to do…?!”

   “Don’t you dare move.”

   “Eek.”

“Anything else you’d like to say?”

   “D–Don’t hurt me…?”

She put her tender hand on Subaru’s abdomen. Moments of silence was followed by extreme pain. To him, it felt like his entire body would explode. Eventually, the rushing pain went away, but Subaru collapsed onto the ground, not able to move.

“What did you do to me, you drill loli?”

“I only collected the Mana from your body, I suppose. It confirmed that you are not an enemy.”

“You’re not human are you…?” Subaru asked, trying to get up. “And I don’t mean your personality,” he added.

“Took you long enough to notice, I suppose,” she said, walking back to her stool, as Subaru’s vision went dark.

A few hours later, Subaru wakes up. Once again, the first thing he saw, was an ornate ceiling, which appeared as if it belonged to a noble. “I know that ceiling,” Subaru muttered to himself.

“Oh, our guest has awakened, Nee-sama.”

   “Indeed, Rem. He has awakened.”

“I, a denizen of the night, waking in the morning? I’m getting all emotional… I’d better go to sleep a second time. No, I woke up earlier, so this will be the third.”

“My, what a deadbeat thing to say. Did you hear that, Nee-sama?”

“Yes, truly a loser’s words. I heard him, Rem.”

“Alright! Who are these two voices that keep criticizing me in stereo?!” Subaru immediately got up. He saw two maids. One of them had medium length pink hair that covered her left eye, large red eyes, and young features.

The other maid looked exactly like her, except her hair color was sky-blue, so were her eyes. The latter blue-haired maid had a more voluptuous chest, which was their most notable difference.Ram_and_Rem_-_Re_Zero_Anime_BD_-_2.png

“Maid costumes exist in this world, too?! This ain’t so bad either!”

“How terrible. You are experiencing the ultimate shame in our guest’s mind, Nee-sama.”

“It is terrible. You are experiencing the ultimate shame in our guest’s mind, Rem.”

“Don’t underestimate my capacity. You both are fair prey in my fantasies…”

Subaru notices that two people are at the door. One of them was a girl. Long silver hair, violet eyes, and pointy ears— Emilia. The other was a man. Short red hair, blue eyes, and a well-built body— Justice.

“Why can’t you wake up peacefully, Subaru?”

Subaru blushed at the sight of Emilia.

“Listen to this, Emilia-sama,” the blue-haired maid said, pointing at Subaru. “My dear sister was just violated by that man.”

“Listen to this, Emilia-sama,” the pink-haired maid repeated, while also pointing at Subaru. “Rem was held prisoner and shamed by that man.”

“And you two,” Emilia said, walking up to Subaru’s bed. “Don’t tease him too much.”

“Yes, Emilia-sama. Nee-sama is very sorry.”

“Yes, Emilia-sama. Rem is very sorry, as well.”

“Subaru, are you feeling alright? Does anything feel off?”

“Nah, I’m just a bit groggy from oversleeping. You saved me, didn’t you, Emilia-tan?”

“Huh? ‘Tan’? What does ‘tan’ mean?” She asked. Then proceeding to look at Justice, who shrugged, as he didn’t know what it meant.

“You can just ignore that. Seriously though, thanks. You saved me.”

“No, I’m the one who should thank you. You barely know me, but you risked your life to save me. It’s natural I would heal your wounds, afterword. But, I still haven’t paid you back, yet.” She said, turning to Justice, with her hands on her hips.

The three of them—Justice, Subaru, and Emilia—leave the room to go to the Mansion’s backyard. It was full of grass. Though, there were several paths where one could walk. On the sides, one could see small fields full of flowers, and some trees.

Justice walked around the massive yard. He caught a glimpse of Subaru and Emilia doing exercises together. They appeared to be having fun. He let them be, as he didn’t want to ruin their ‘cute’ moment together.

Soon, the two maids arrived outside. “Emilia-sama,” they said in unison. “Our Lord, Roswaal-sama has arrived. Please come inside” With that, everyone began to head back inside the Mansion. Justice could feel an odd air coming from one of the maids, the blue-haired one, supposedly named Rem.

Justice and Subaru enter the dining room, while the two maids were in the kitchen, and Emilia was in her room, getting changed. “I was watching you from upstairs,” they turn to see the curly haired girl, whom referred to herself as ‘Betty.’ “And you know what? It would seem you are quite dumb, I suppose.”

“What’s with talking like that on a fine morning, loli?!”

“I don’t know what that word means, yet… it feels distinctly unpleasant.”

“Ah, you’re the girl named Beatrice, right? Nice to meet you, I’m Justice. I’m sorry for any commotion that Subaru caused.”

Subaru appeared to be very irritated.

“Hmph, at least you know how to talk to lady, unlike that buffoon standing right there.”

“—Hey, Betty. Haven’t seen you in a few days. Have you been doing well, and staying ladylike?”

The silver-haired girl, having changed her attire, walked into the dining room with Puck sitting on her shoulders. “Bubby!” Beatrice screamed, with a cute smile on her face, running over to Emilia. She nodded her head.

“I’ve been eagerly waiting for your arrival! Would you enjoy spending the day with me, do you suppose?”

“Yeah! That’d be great. Let’s finally relax together, today.”

Puck leaped off Emilia’s shoulder to land upon Beatrice’s outstretched palms. As she caught Puck, Beatrice lovingly embraced him and ran around in circles then and there, while saying “Yay!”

“Bewildered, aren’t you two? Beatrice is so taken with Puck.”

“No uses bewildered nowadays…” Subaru muttered.

   “…Hello…

Someone quietly, but creepily greeted Subaru and Justice. The sudden greet scared both of them, causing them to overreact. The former screamed as he threw his hands up like a monkey, while the latter man dashed forward, turned around, and grabbed the sheath of his sword.

Emilia covered her mouth with her hand and began to politely chuckle. “Meet, Gordon, you two. He’s a Magical Knight—A knight who primarily uses Magic to fight. He mainly uses Hex Magic and such.”

“Hoh,” Subaru said, pointing at Gordon. “You’re the man I screamed at earlier today because I got scared.”

“…Yes, and I was very hurt by that…

“Ah… sorry about that. I just woke up, at the time, and was scared because of the condition of your room—the darkness, old books everywhere, and the purple light on the candle were the things that mainly scared me. Not your face, your face is perfectly fine, some might even say handsome, just not me, but some people would.”

   “…It’s okay… I forgive you…” Gordon got extremely close to Subaru. “…Because we’re friends… right…?

   “Y–Yeah…”

“Nice to meet you Gordon-san. I’m Justice.”

“…Hello, Justice… nice to meet you, as well… Soon, we’ll be great friends… just like Subaru and me currently are.”

   “Right…”

Gordon muttered everything and gave off a creepy vibe. Though, Justice could tell that he didn’t mean any trouble. Justice and Subaru knew that Gordon was being genuine when he was talking about being friends, they were still a bit creeped out by his antics, though.

“My, my~! How unusuuuual to see you here, Beatrice. I’m so happy you’ve decided to diiiiine with me.”

A man walked into the room. He was a tall, well-built man with long indigo hair with heterochromic eyes, the right one being blue and the left one being yellow. His eyelids were decorated by purple eyeshadow, though the left eye’s is longer.

He wore a lavender colored make-up which accompanies his unusual outfit comparable to those similar to a clown or jester, consisting of a black hat, a top, and bottom with different shades of purple, along with red and black boots and a cape.

“That boy is more than enough of an addle-brained fool for me, I suppose. Betty was only waiting for Bubby!”

Subaru began to pat the man who had just entered the room on the back. “You guys even hired a clown to entertain you before each meal? I’ll never understand how rich folks think.”

   “Um… Subaru, that man is…”

   “Oh, no… it’s quite alright, Miss Emilia…”

   “What’s going on?”

“Only that I am the lord of this manor, Roswaal L. Mathers, Subaru Natsuki-chan.”

Roswaal_L_Mathers

Everyone except the two maids sat at the table. Roswaal sat at the head of the table, while Emilia sat near him. Subaru sat next to Emilia, and Justice sat next to Subaru. Across from them, sat Beatrice who was still playing with Puck. Next to Beatrice was Gordon, who was muttering something.

During the meal, Justice, and Subaru learned many things.

Roswaal was a Margrave, who was able to use eight types of Magic. Fire Magic, Water Magic, Wind Magic, Earth Magic, Lightning Magic, Yin Magic, Yang Magic, and Soul Magic. Beatrice was the guardian of the Forbidden Library, and was only nice to Puck, who she referred to as “Bubby.” Gordon constantly mutters to himself, and most of the time, no one understood what he said.

The pink-haired maid’s name was Ram, while the blue-haired maid’s name was Rem. Rem did the cooking, while Ram did the household tasks, specifically cleaning and laundry. Though, Rem was better than Ram at everything.

And finally, Emilia was a candidate for becoming the 42nd king of Lugnica. Subaru was completely shocked, as he was meeting a girl who came from royalty. Justice didn’t have the same reaction, as he had met royals and nobles before, back when he was still in his world. She explained that the insignia was the thing that chose one to be a candidate. Subaru scolded her for losing it.

“This totally raises my expectations for a reward…”

“Yeah, you’re right. You and Justice are the people I’m in debt to. So, please, ask for anything you want.”

“You two may have any reward youuuuuuuuu request. Merely state your desireeeeeeeee.”

“I have one wish,” Subaru said, standing up. “Hire me to work in this mansion!” The room went silent. Emilia was disappointed with Subaru’s request, Justice was contemplating why he wanted to work here when he could’ve had anything he wanted. Ram and Rem were shocked. Gordon continued to mutter to himself, Roswaal had a soft smile on his face, Puck was lightly chuckling, and Beatrice was disgusted.

   “And you?” Roswaal asked Justice.

“I’d like to work here too. Not in the same sense as Subaru, though. I want to work as Subaru’s and Emilia’s bodyguard. You can repay me by letting me live here, until either one of these two stops living here.”

   A silence then came by.

   “Achoo.”

Later, Rem and Ram would look for a work outfit for Subaru. None of the male outfits fit him, but the female ones did. They decided to take his measurements, afterward, the pink-haired maid would give him a tour of the mansion, while the blue-haired one would work on his butler attire. Meanwhile, Justice would borrow books about the country and such from Beatrice and Gordon to study.

After the tour was over, Subaru helped Ram with her work. They finished everything in the afternoon, when the sun was starting to go down. Subaru entered his room and laid in his bed, as he wanted to relax for the day. Moments later, Rem entered the room with his new work clothes. Subaru tried them out, and they fit. He used his sewing skills to fix the pants.

The next day, Subaru and the two sisters would cut potatoes with knives. Justice was also there, because, knowing Subaru, he’d probably accidentally hurt himself with a knife, and he knew that the maids wouldn’t do anything to stop the bleeding, so he had to take it upon himself.

Subaru constantly cut himself, much to the annoyance of the others. With the books he had received from Gordon and Beatrice, Justice learned many new spells involving Fire Magic, such as healing, which he would use to heal Subaru, who wouldn’t let him. He then noticed that Rem kept on glancing at Subaru, she also had an… odd pressure around her, when she looked at him.

“…Is there something wrong with Subaru, Rem?” he asked.

Subaru’s and Ram’s attention turned to Rem, who didn’t respond. “…His hair,” Ram interjected. “You were staring at Barusu because of his pathetic haircut, right, Rem?”

“Yes… his hair does seem a bit lacking…”

They continued to converse a bit more, Justice still a bit suspicious of Rem. Soon, Ram and Subaru would do their daily work. They did the same work every day, for five days straight. During the night of the fifth day, Roswaal would have a conversation with Ram who was sitting on his lap, in his private study.

“It’s been five days since Subaru-kun and Justice-kun came to the mansion. How have they been, Ram? By now, we should be seeing sooooomething.”

“For Barusu… Cooking, laundry, cleaning. He is useless at all of them.”

“How strict of you…” Roswaal said, caressing Ram’s hair. “And, what about Justice-kun?”

“He seems… a little too righteous. He does everything in his power to do something that’s kind, or nice, or something like that. He claims he has amnesia, but judging by everything he’s done, I believe he’s lying. And…”

   “And, what?”

“It seems that he’s very suspicious of Rem. Whenever Rem and Barusu have some duties together, he always goes with them. I’ve seen him give her many threatening looks.”

“Oh? Do you know whyyyyyy he was threatening her?”

   “For Barusu.”

“Ah, I see. But, what of their potential as spies?”

“I cannot deny it exists, but I believe the possibility is slim. For better or for worse. Specifically for worse, Barusu is too conspicuous.”

“And if he’s too conspicuous…” Roswaal said, as he motioned his hand slowly chopping his neck. “Despite that possibility, he certainly is carefree,” he said, staring into the window, where he could see Subaru looking at Emilia talking to all the lesser spirits. “As I personally see it, interfering would be wise.”

“They are only children. Even if we let them be, nothing will happen.”

The two continued to converse, not knowing that Justice had been listening to them the entire time. He was standing behind the door, with his Mana Presence hidden, so no one would be able to sense him.

Subaru would stare at Emilia talk to the lesser spirits. “It isn’t that fun to watch, is it?” she asked him. “When I’m with you,” he answered with. “Nothing is boring, Emilia-tan.”

“That makes me happy, even if you’re only flattering me.”

“Besides, we haven’t had a chance to talk for the past few days.”

“That’s right. It must be difficult for you to learn your work here.”

“Yes! It is! It’s killing me! I wish I could be sequentially comforted in your arms, on your chest, and on your lap—”

“Yeah, yeah. If you can joke around like that, you must be fine.” Emilia pushed Subaru’s forehead with her finger, causing him to fall down.

   “The moon sure is pretty.”

“Yes, it’s far, beyond our reach.”

Subaru chuckled lightly and scratched his cheek with a finger. Emilia widened her eyes when she saw his hands. Noticing this, he looks at his hands to know what’s going on. He stood up really quickly, and hid his hands behind his back. “Oh, man, talk about pathetic,” he said, while getting up. “You should keep your efforts a secret, huh?”

“Do you want me to use my healing magic?”

“Nah, I’m fine like this. It’s kind of hard to explain, but… well, this is proof of the effort I put in. I don’t actually dislike exerting myself, you know. Learning to do something I couldn’t before… and, well, it’s not so bad.”

“I see. But, how did your hands get so torn up?”

“I cut this one with the knives in the kitchen… And this is from the evening when I went shopping in town, and a little animal some kids were playing with, bit me. The kids were ruthless. Hitting, and kicking me, and wiping their runny noses on me. It sucked, damn it.”

“You do seem like you’d be good with small children, Subaru.”

“I know! Wanna come with me tomorrow, to get revenge… I mean, watch the kids and the small animal?”

“It isn’t that I don’t want to go with you… But if I’m with you, it might cause some trouble for you.”

   “Okay, got it! Let’s go!”

   “Are you listening to me?”

“I am! I hang on to every word you say, Emilia-tan!”

“Jeez. Only during a break from my studies, and when all your work is done, alright?”

   “Alright! Roger that~!”

He partied for a bit, and went back inside the mansion. He walked past Justice, and told him about his date with Emilia the next day. Justice wished him good luck and went to his room. Subaru went to say goodnight to Beatrice who was irritated by him, and kicked him out of the library. Subaru then went to his own room, jumped onto his bed, and tried to fall asleep.

The next day, Justice woke up. He walked along the hallway, wiping his eyes of all the sleep that was filling it. The nostalgic chirping of the birds was interrupted by a young maiden screaming.

“—Nee-sama! Nee-sama! Please, come here quickly!”

He heard Rem scream. Her voice was coming from Subaru’s room, so Justice knew that something definitely was wrong. The fact that she was screaming in his room, of all peoples’ worried him, as well.

Arriving at the room, he saw the two maids staring at Subaru’s bed. They were standing in a way that was blocking Justice from viewing. So, he walked closer to the bed, to see a weird sight. He saw Subaru sleeping on the bed, motionless, his eyes, drained of life, with black markings around them.

“…He’s dead…” Ram said, ruining the silence. Justice felt his soul jump out of his body.

A few minutes later, everyone in the mansion arrived at Subaru’s room. Emilia was kneeling next to the bed, she was crying, with her face on the sheets. Puck was sitting on her shoulder caressing her hair, trying to comfort her.

Roswaal was standing behind Emilia. He appeared to be slightly depressed. His index finger rested on his chin; he was trying to figure out what happened to Subaru. Rem and Ram stood next to him

Beatrice leaned on a wall with her arms crossed and eyes closed. Gordon was staring at the ground, his hat creating a shadow which covered his eyes. His black lips were trembling. Justice could only feel despair as he stood next to Beatrice.

“Lia, stop crying… everyone has to die at one point…”

“Yeah… but why did Subaru have to so young? He treated me fairly, and even made a promise to me, even though I’m a half-elf! The same race the Witch of Envy was! Subaru didn’t deserve this—!”

“Lia…” Puck said, not able to respond to what she said.

“It seems that this was the work of a curse. A form of Magic that allows the user tooooooooo include additional lasting effects to spells. However, the curse that was used on Subaru-kun was a curse which stooooolllle his Mana and vitality. He is lucky, though. He was asleep when the curse activated.”

Justice was deeply saddened to hear this. His attention went towards Gordon. “Hey, Gordon! You’re able to use Hex Magic, right? Why weren’t you able to prevent this?!” He asked, his eyes fuming with rage. He didn’t respond.

A few moments later, Gordon clenched his fist. He turned around to face Justice. “I didn’t know he had a curse!” he exclaimed. “I am only able to detect curses on people when they are near me. The last time I saw Subaru was when I saw him head to the village with you and Rem!”

Everyone was shocked. The normally muttering Gordon screamed. For the first time, everyone was able to understand what he said. Justice, however, wasn’t shocked because of that, no. He was shocked, because, tears were rolling from Gordon’s eyes to his cheeks, as if it were a stream.

   “You barely knew Subaru, yet… you’re crying…”

“…I wanted to become his friend… but I never had the chance…”

“…Who was the last person that saw Subaru, yesterday?” Emilia asked, with her eyes red from all the crying.

Moments of silence later, someone finally answered her question.

“I was, I suppose. He came to the Forbidden Library to annoy me, so I kicked him out.”

“Are you able to sense curses,” Justice asked. No response. “Beatri—”

“—I sensed the curse in him last night, I suppose.”

   “Why didn’t you do anything?!”

“I didn’t know him well enough to care.”

“Tch.” Justice picked up Subaru’s lifeless body. “What are you doing…?” Emilia questioned him. “I’m leaving. I’ll bury his body in the village, then I’ll head to the capital. I’ll start living with Vanessa, if she allows it. If not, then I’ll head to Karagiri. It’s been an amazing time, living here. Thank you all, but, for now, this is goodbye.”

Justice walked through the door. No one stopped him. The twins didn’t do anything, as Roswaal didn’t order them to stop him. Beatrice simply didn’t care enough to stop him. Gordon was already having a hard time stopping himself from crying, and Roswaal was waiting…

   “Justice! Please wait!”

Emilia stood up and dashed out of the door. She looked around the hall and saw no one there. She left the mansion to see Justice walking to the village, carrying Subaru in a bridal position. “Justice!” Emilia screamed. He turned around to see her running.

“Please, let me bury Subaru’s body.”

   “Where will you bury him?”

“Elior Forest. My hometown. He’s always expressed wanting to live with me forever, so, I want to bury him, because I will live there from now on.”

   “Alright.”

Justice placed Subaru’s body next to a tree. He extended his hand towards Emilia.

“It’s been very nice knowing you, Emilia. I hope we’ll meet in the future.”

   “Likewise. I just wish I could’ve paid Subaru back…”

   “Me too…”

They shook hands, and as they were about to leave—

“—With Miss Emilia now leaving, that means she won’t be participating in the Royal Election. Now, I don’t have any reason to live… however, that doesn’t mean I won’t try to kill you. Simply think of this as… revenge.”

Roswaal stood in front of the Mansion’s doors. His palms were facing the sky. There were glowing five glowing spheres flying on top of both hands. They were Red, Blue, Green, Brown, and Yellow, representing Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Lightning. On his right side, Ram, who was being enveloped by wind. On his left side, Rem, who held a flail in her arms. Justice pulled out his sword from his scabbard. Icicles were summoned around Emilia and him.

“One more battle to end everything, right, Emilia?”

   “Right.”

Justice, Emilia, and Puck vs. Roswaal, Ram, and Rem.

Subaru woke up. “A new dawn has come! A dawn of hope!” he stood on his bed, throwing off the blanket covering him. “Natsuki Subaru will make giant strides today…” he noticed Rem and Ram standing next to his bed. Immediately, he picked up his blanket and covered his body.

“What?! You were here? I’m so embarrassed. You should’ve said something!”

The two maids looked at him in confusion.

“Nee-sama, nee-sama. Our guest appears to be a bit confused.”

“Rem, Rem, it looks as though our guest has gone crazy.”

“Why are you calling me a guest? You two and your jokes—”

Subaru looked at his hands. All the cuts were gone. Then he realized it. Return by Death had activated, once again.

“…The wounds… are gone.”

Author’s Comments

Yooooooo, Mugen here! Sorry for the long wait for Arc 2! As I’ve said in the “About” page, there will be a one week break for a new Arc to release. Unfortunately, the apparent, one week break was longer than one week. And, I am very sorry about that! I beg you, please forgive me! I was kind of busy with in real life stuff—such as hosting a New Years party—so I wasn’t able to finish this chapter for a while.

Okay, I’m not going to lie, but I was also procrastinating because of my new favorite video game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I bought the game on the 7th [the day it released], but I didn’t have enough time on my hands to play it [😭]. Christmas Break finally came, and I was able to play it, and I loved life at that point.

Anyway, did you notice anything different? Such as this Chapter being long as heck? Well, get used to it! As every Chapter from now on will be longer than 2000+ words! can’t guarantee that tho

Until Next Time!

— Mugen
